🔴 City with at least one stopped pick-pocket
Editor's Note: We received this story from a Facebook comment by Edward S. from Minneapolis, Minnesota. This testimonial comes to us from the Eternal City which currently sits at #2 on our Top Cities List. It marks the 28th known stopped pick-pocket in Rome and narrows Paris' lead as the "Unofficial" Pick-Pocket Capital of the World to 5 stops. He wears both our pants and shirts which have served him well over the years. A comment from 6 months ago got him to share his experience wearing Pick-Pocket Proof Clothing. "Look upon them as insurance," he says, describing the value they add to his wardrobe.
Dear Clothing Arts,
While getting on a bus from Palermo to Monreale last year, I had the good experience of not getting pickpocketed. Three men had blocked me in so it wasn’t possible to get my arm down, while one was trying to get my right pocket open. Fortunately, my wallet and phone were secure in the pockets of my Clothing Arts Pants.
Having traveled extensively in Italy, I now realize that one is much safer to keep your Clothing Arts clothes on, rather than leaving them behind, even in a locked hotel room. Alas, I left my new Cubed Jacket in the locked hotel room, since the weather in Venice wasn’t cold enough to wear it, but didn’t think to remove my passport and money. Returning after 6 hours, the door was locked, but the Cubed Jacket was gone along with my passport and money. I loved the Cubed Jacket, and my three month trip to Italy from mid-Oct to mid-Jan was my first use. I have five pairs of the slacks and love them well enough to wear them at home in Asheville. I have recommended them to friends, who have also bought them. You need to advertise more widely. Best travel clothes, ever.

Dear Clothing Arts,
I was in a cathedral in Rome and while taking a video of the place, a little kid ran to me, and hugged me while I was busy filming. When I finally pulled him away, his whole family came over and apologized.
Then I realized that the buttons on my left front pocket were opened, but he could not get any further. All my documents were in my pocket thanks to the shorts.

Editor's Note: This is your 3rd known stopped pick-pocket in Florence!
Dear Clothing Arts,
I'm a believer. I bought two of the cargo shorts to use on our Italian vacation and they did the trick yesterday. I was in Florence, waiting in front of a restaurant, when someone tried to pick my pockets.
There was a mobile vendor behind me and the pickpocket was pretending to shop it while bumping against me and groping my pockets. I was fully aware of what he was doing and, on his second attempt, smiled at him and waved him off. Busted, he scrambled away.
These things are great. They take some getting used to but, with some practice, you can get to what you need to without too much delay.
Thanks!
Matt R. from Minnesota, USA.
Editor's Note: This is your 3rd known stop in Milan and comes from a recent ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ review of our Adventure Traveler Pants!
Today, we are proud to bring you an incredible triple-stop from Venice, Italy! The beauty and uniqueness of the city create amazement and opportunities for distraction unique in all the world. Combine that with the confined spaces aboard the public boats, the vaporetto, which navigate its canals/waterways, and you have a pick-pocket's playground.
Travelers wearing their Pick-Pocket Proof ®️ Apparel have encountered pick-pockets here before but never like John W. from California, USA, did on a recent travel. His Adventure Travel Pants ran into not one, or two, but three pick-pockets! It is a good thing he had triple-secure pockets...

Here is how it happened:
Editor's Note: This testimonial came in via a Facebook post. The train referred to in the messages is the Circumvesuviana line. This is the train you would take to get to Pompeii or Herculaneum, which accounts for the high number of tourists and the pick-pockets who target them. Mike G. is from Utah, USA.
Editor's Note: This is your 26th known stopped pick-pocket in Rome!
Dear Clothing Arts,
On a recent trip to Rome, I got on a crowded tram heading to the train station. My wallet was in the front zippered pocket. As we got close to the station, the crowds thinned, but I was still being pressed by a couple of people. At one point, I looked down and saw a hand in my pocket trying to pull my wallet out. The zipper had been opened but slowed the thief down enough that I caught her red-handed.
Her accomplices intervened after I pushed the pickpocket away and yelled at her for trying to steal my wallet. They got off the tram at the next stop and disappeared into the crowds, but I still had my wallet thanks to your pants!

Editor's Note: This is your 1st stop in Venice and 25th overall in Rome!
Dear Clothing Arts,
I bought my Adventure and Business pants with the anticipation of my trip to Italy. I was there for 10 days and we went all over. I got back today and can say these pants saved me... twice in 10 days.
Once on our train ride from Venice to Rome, I was wearing the Business Pants and had my wallet in the secret inside zipper. I noticed my outside zipper was undone while leaving the train.
Then, in Rome, while in line for the Colosseum, I was wearing the Adventure Pants and felt someone trying to unzip my pants pocket. They made it to the button flap.
Nice job Clothing Arts. Thank you.

Editor's Note: This is your second stopped pick-pocket in Milan.
Dear Clothing Arts,
On a crowded Metro Line 1 in Milan eight days ago, I got sandwiched between a middle-aged woman holding some kind of drape over her arms and a younger woman asking me how to get to the Duomo, Milan’s fabulous cathedral, several stops ahead. As she kept directing attention to a small Metro map in her hand on my right, I felt pressure on my left from the other woman. As I tried to free myself from the squeeze, the younger woman became increasingly insistent that I help her. I had to raise my voice and shove myself clear.
At that point, I checked the zippered (but not buttoned) left front pocket of my pants and noticed that the zipper had been opened but my wallet was still with me. The two women exited abruptly at the next stop. Thanks for sparing me the nuisance of a stolen wallet. From now on I’ll also button shut my wallet pocket.
Thanks for the crafty pants,
Robert K, New Mexico, USA.
