🔴 City with at least one stopped pick-pocket
Editor's Note: This is your 5th known stop in Lisbon... that we know about! Dennis has been a long-time wearer of our apparel, first upgrading in 2018. He was wearing a pair of our Flagship Adventure Traveler Pants when the pick-pocket team would mark them on the famous trolleys of Lisbon.
Dear Clothing Arts,
We were on one of the trolleys going up hill in the back in Lisbon. This man and woman got on, and we were really watching out for anything out of the ordinary. Anyone who got close to us. They moved to get close to us, and I pushed them out of the way to block my significant other. They tried to push past me to get to my friend, but they weren't able to get anything.
Later in the trip, another group of 4 tried to follow us, even into a store, because we could tell they were following us. What gave it away was my camera in my hand, which they were looking at. We went into the store to get out of their path. Once they followed us in, we left and found a few cops close by to alert them to the group.
We also stopped a pick-pocket in Barcelona.
Editor's Note: This is your 4th known stop in Lisbon, Portugal. Paul has been traveling with our secure pockets since 2019. He was wearing a pair of pants or shorts from the Adventure Traveler Line.
Dear Clothing Arts,
I am writing to let you know how my Clothing Arts travel pants stopped a pick-pocket in Lisbon, Portugal.
On our way to dinner, we spotted a group of people gathered at the bottom of a hill. As we made our way up, they started behind us. About halfway up the hill the group began to overtake and pass by us, bumping into me in the process. There was no one else around, so there was no reason for them to be that close.
As they passed, I felt something (a hand?) in the area of my back pocket. I turned to see one of the men back away. Because of the secure pockets in the pants, they were not able to get anything.
Thanks for making these great pants. I always wear them when traveling.

Title: Lisbon Portugal Save 3.6.19
Rating: ****

I bought my pants for India in January. Nothing happened. My wife and I came to Portugal for our anniversary. On the second night I felt a pull on the right cargo pocket while waiting to cross the street. I immediately swept my hand back and found that the rear button was undone. So was the front, but the center snap was still in place. The only thing in that pocket was my camera, which was still there. 20 seconds later, I was approached by an undercover police officer who was following three pickpockets. He asked me if I still had all my property, and I replied, "Yes, Sir, I'm wearing Pickpocket Proof Pants." Not happy that the try was made, but love the Lisbon Police and the PPPP.
Walking up to The Santa Justa Lift in Lisbon, Portugal
Editor's Note: This is our second stop in Lisbon! Check out the first one (stop #62) here!
Dear Clothing Arts,
Four couples were in Lisbon, Portugal in October of this year. We were walking through the streets just past the city elevator, the Santa Justa Lift, when I noticed someone touching the back of my pants. I quickly turned to find a young man with a city map in his left hand opened to hide his right hand. He had tried to open my left rear pocket and steal my passport with his right hand. I smiled and moved away from him. He stopped, looked frustrated and turned 180 degrees and walked away without looking at his map.
I can understand his frustration – I find it difficult to securely zip and button my rear pocket. And that’s a good thing! When I travel I always wear Clothing Arts pick picket proof pants. Always!

Dear Clothing Arts,
My wife and I were in the train station in Lisbon. As I rode up the escalator to the platform, I felt something brush against my leg. I immediately turned and a man was passing me on the escalator. He offered an apology and blamed his red bag for brushing up against me. I thought no more of it. A while later, we were again going up the escalator and I felt a tug on my pants leg. I turned and the same man was passing me. I told my wife loudly that he had just tried to pick my pocket. He ran away. I notice that my right cargo pocket was unbuttoned, but my passport and wallet were still zipped inside thanks to my pickpocket proof pants!
