SmarterTravel tested a pair of our Pick-Pocket Proof Pants and their verdict... "The pants worked. I wasnât pickpocketed on a recent Eastern Mediterranean trip."
Check out our favorite quote below:
"Wandering the narrow, cobbled streets and open squares of one Mediterranean city, I noticed a man who could have been a thief â the greedy looking type with a gold tooth and moist eyes. I think he ogled the pants, with their button-secured flaps hiding deep zipper pockets, and secret zipper pockets within zipper pockets, and thought better. You canât burgle a walking money belt."

We are honored to be featured in Outside Magazine's "The Absolute Minimum Clothes You Need For  A Life Of Adventure." The article by Aaron Gulley lists his preferred clothing items for a year on the road. "I generally hate âtravelâ pants, but Clothing Arts Pickpocket Proof Adventure Travel Pants are trim-fitting cargos that are light enough for the desert but burly enough for hunting."

Winston Aldworth, editor of the New Zealand Herald, reviewed our Cubed Travel Jacket and loved the multitude of pockets. Check out our favorite quotes below:
"Pockets are the key. This jacket has, at my rough estimate, about 186 different discrete pockets, which addresses one of the core concerns of modern urban explorers: how do I carry all this crap around and not look like a training centre for aspiring young muggers?"
"I feel smart wearing mine and happy knowing there's a slot for my passport, a pocket for my phone, one for a fistful of the local currency and another for the train card I'm always whipping out."

We were very excited to have our New Women's Travel Wrap Skirt featured in the Huffington Post's "Travel Wear and Gear That Won't Crimp Your Style." We love the below quote!
"Best of all, the skirt packs well and offers numerous casual looks â from day time exploration to nights out in a new town."

We were contacted a few months back by a team of U.S. Army Veterans gearing up for an overland expedition starting in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, continuing through North America, the jungles of Central America, and ending in Patagonia at the southern tip of South America (map below). The entire journey will be using specially designed motorcycles; the riders exposed to the elements. Their route takes them through all types climates and numerous logistic challenges. The journey has two goals: to film a documentary of their adventure, Where The Road Ends, and to raise awareness for the Lone Survivor Foundation.Â
Everything is being filmed by a team from the 982nd Combat Camera Company, a reserve unit of the US Army.
The expedition team liked the look & function of the light-weight, nylon clothes we create and our team is proud to see it put to the test on their journey.Â
In specific, our clothing will be used on the Darien Gap portion of the trip. It is 100 miles of untamed jungle between Panama and Colombia. This leg of the trip will arguably be the hardest and the only stretch of the 17,000 miles that does not have a road. Their specially designed off-road motorcycles will be put to the ultimate test. Our lightweight, versatile apparel will come in handy when the group reaches the Gap. The team recently visited the region to scout out a route. Check out some of the pictures below and watch the video here.
Now that the whole team has been geared up for the challenge, we look forward to watching these Vets pull off one of the greatest continuous motorcycle journeys ever attempted. We will check back with them in a later newsletter so stay tuned.
