This shirt is in honor of a place dear to my heart, my hometown, Brooklyn, NY. Kings County refers to the original name of the borough where the images in the design were born and sadly died. The background was a pattern my friends and I painted on an industrial loft wall and the foreground is lost graffiti which remained in my memory and thankfully in an old photo. Joined together they represent the ideas of "Unity in the Afterlife" and "Rebirth." The black used in the graffiti and wall highlights are Flok, a technique which feels like printed felt and stands off the shirt .5mm giving the image a life-like, 3d quality.
